Philadelphia's local NPR station, WHYY has a health/science/innovation show called The Pulse. Each week, they run a segment called "So What Do You Do," where a non-expert has a casual conversation with a scientist about his or her work. I was fortunate to sit down for a chat with Amanda Lawless to talk about her job as a malacologist. She studies mollusks at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University. She's fascinating and I had such a good time talking with her. Listen to the interview here.
